Jose Garcia always wanted to serve future generations of students; through the help of SXU and his work as a president and CEO of NWCCU, he achieved that goal.

SXU will host “Hip-Hop Poetics and the Struggle for a Better Chicago” with Kevin Coval, also known as Chicago’s poet laureate and mentor to Chance the Rapper.

Charlene Bermele and Mary Ann Wolfenson have both been awarded grants from the Illinois Nurses Foundation to enhance learning related to health issues.

This exhibition is a solo show featuring ceramics; works on paper; Wall tiles; vessels; watercolors; and drawings of animals and landscapes.
