Saint Xavier University (SXU) was awarded a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education under its Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Title V Program to increase retention and graduation rates. This award marks the first Title V grant and second major federal grant received by SXU tied to its designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).

Saint Xavier University (SXU) continues to receive annual accolades from the U.S. News & World Report. In the 2020 edition, released September 9, SXU was named a "Best Value School," a "Best Regional University" and one of the "Top 10 Most Diverse" universities in the Midwest. Saint Xavier was also recognized this year for the first time for being a "Best College for Veterans" and "A Top Performer on Social Mobility" among regional universities in the Midwest.
