SXU Student Veterans Alliance to Host Job Fair
Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Student Veterans Alliance (SVA) will participate in a job fair/engagement event with Marquette Bank on April 10 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
"As president of the Student Veterans Alliance, I'm thrilled for our upcoming job fair with Marquette Bank. Marquette Bank will share insights on career opportunities and offer valuable tips on maintaining good credit and more. There will also be a Q&A session at the end, so I'm looking very forward to seeing everyone there!" said SVA president Karely Padilla.
"The Student Veterans Alliance is incredibly excited to host Marquette Bank for the upcoming job fair. We are looking forward to hearing about their veteran hiring practices and employment opportunities as well as any financial tips that come our way," added Matthew Oziemkiewicz, SVA events coordinator.
The event, which was organized in collaboration with the Career Development Center, will connect student veterans with Marquette Bank employees, a beneficial networking event for those who are close to graduating and looking to take the next steps post-college. Student veterans consistently take advantage of the Career Development Center and work closely with James Miller, associate director of employer engagement and internships. Miller is committed to providing networking opportunities that will benefit student veterans and has engaged them in retreats and with other resources.

This is a great opportunity for our student veterans to connect, network and learn more about some of the opportunities they have post-graduation. We are very thankful to Marquette Bank for taking the time to come speak to our veterans as well as for James Miller, who connected us with Marquette Bank last year," said Matthew Maltese, compliance advisor for student veterans.
The SVA plans to host similar events with Marquette Bank in the future, including a cookout and food truck party to further increase opportunities for student veterans to connect and network with banking professionals.
