SXU's Monzurul Hoque, Ph.D., Receives Teaching Excellence Award
Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Monzurul Hoque, Ph.D., received the Teaching Excellence Award on March 28, 2019 at the MBAA International Conference. The recipient of this award is selected by finance peers and professionals from 117 universities and colleges from the United States and around the world.
This prestigious award is given to one of three finalists at the annual Academy of Finance meeting. Each finalist is selected and then present their teaching skills in front of fellow members and the selection committee.
Hoque is a professor of finance at the Graham School of Management (GSM) and has accumulated over 25 years of professional experience. He has served on GSM's executive leadership team, was a key member of the AACSB initial accreditation team, served as the founding chair of economics, finance and quantitative analysis for eight years and served an addition four years as chair of GSM's Assurance of Learning Committee. He is committed to curricular innovation and led the development of GSM's finance program and interdisciplinary collaboration with computer sciences and mathematics.
