SXU Alumnus Awarded Sierra Club California's "Emerging Leaders" Award
Saint Xavier University (SXU) is proud of the amazing work its alumni undertake after graduation, continuing to honor SXU's Mercy mission by continuing to improve both themselves and their communities.
SXU alumnus Chance Cutrano '15 was recently awarded the Sierra Club California's inaugural "Emerging Leaders" award for outstanding contributions to conservation and politics by someone under the age of 30. The Sierra Club is one of the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organizations.
Chance Cutrano graduated from SXU with degree in philosophy and political science. He is currently the director of special projects and strategic initiatives at the environmental nonprofit Resource Renewal Institute in the San Francisco Bay Area where he manages public lands protection and sustainable agriculture programs. In his free time, Chance serves on the Finance and Political Committees for the Sierra Club's SF Bay Chapter, as well as the Club's National Climate Adaptation Task Force. Chance also attends Presidio Graduate School, where he is pursuing his Master of Public Administration degree in Sustainable Solutions.
