SXU Gallery Presents "A Pause in Dialogue" by Gabe Lanza
The SXU Gallery is proud to host the incredible work of Gabe Lanza, a Chicago artist who draws his inspiration from his many travels around the world. The gallery will open for the 2019 Spring semester with Lanza's exhibit of "A Pause in Dialogue" where the creation of his pieces have come from his extensive work at a rug manufacturer and his many international trips, combining these elements with his interests in folk, textile art, nostalgia for cartoons and toys of the past. His work has been featured in many galleries throughout California, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana and Illinois.
The exhibition runs from January 14 to February 5, with a presentation by the artist and reception on Wednesday, January 23 at 3:30 p.m. All are invited to attend and encouraged to come hear how and why Lanza creates paintings and textile studies that speak to his travels around the world.
Visit the SXU website for more information on the SXU Gallery and its exhibits. The gallery and attendance to Lanza's reception are free and open to the public.
