SXU's Kristen Schreck presented at the International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics
Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Dr. Kristen Schreck, assistant professor of Mathematics, presented at the International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics in Washington, D.C. on March 17.
Dr. Schreck's presentation entitled, "3D Printing Lessons in Multivariable Calculus" detailed the extensive projects she developed for her students in which they designed and 3D printed their own original surfaces using mathematics software and CAD programs. These projects enhance students' understanding of the mathematical concepts and theorems they are studying in Multivariable Calculus.
In fall 2016, she became an Ultimaker Education Pioneer Fellow and since that time she has been awarded two Ultimaker 3D printers for her innovative work in bringing mathematics to life using 3D printing.
