SXU's Peter N. Kirstein Presents at 14th Annual Conference of the IPSA
Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Peter N. Kirstein, Ph.D., professor of history and political science, will present a paper -- "Marx Bicentennial and its Relevance to Higher Education" -- at the 14th Annual Conference of the Illinois Political Science Association (IPSA). The IPSA seeks to represent the full range of fields and specializations in the political science discipline while providing a forum for Illinois political scientists to assemble and discuss their research and ideas on politics, policies and government. The annual IPSA conferences bring together faculty members from across the state to present the results of their scholarly research.
The 14th annual conference will be held at the College of DuPage on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Professor Kirstein's paper, which is derivative from a soon-to-be-published book chapter, applies primarily classical Marxian theory to the state of higher education in the United States. Kirstein will also serve as the moderator for the event's panel discussion.
