Date:01/17/2017
Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Department of Mathematics Professor Abdul-Majid Wazwaz recently conducted a variety of professional development over the course of the year. Below are some of his standout activities:
- Named "Highly Cited Researcher" for three years in a row by Thomson Reuters, the highest scientific organization, and as a result was included in the "2016 World's Most Influential Scientific Minds" list;
- A second set of several papers published in a variety of well-known professional journals of applied mathematics, physics, ocean engineering, chemical engineering, plasma physics, applied soft computing, and bio-mathematics. The works cover a wide variety in scientific domains, such as: Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain equation; freak waves in a plasma; Nano fluidic problems containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes; Bratu and Lane-Emden problems; cubic-quantic nonlinear Schrodinger; nonlinear boundary value problems with Dual solutions; class of astrophysics equations; Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain equation; nonlinear Pantograph systems; and oxygen and carbon substrate concentrations.
