SXU's Sister Carol Mucha quoted in Daily Southtown on DACA

Last week, President Donald Trump released an announcement concerning the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. News reports indicate that President Trump will put into motion a plan to end the DACA within six months. In light of this announcement, many have taken a stand against the termination of these programs. SXU's President Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D., made a statement last week in reaction to this hot-button issue.
Additionally, SXU's Mission and Ministry's Sister Carol Mucha, R.S.M., was quoted in the Saturday, September 9 issue of the Daily Southtown. In the article, Sr. Carol mentioned this act "represents a historic injustice and a violation of the human dignity of young people. It diminishes us all as a nation. We are not as we once were in welcoming people."
