SXU's School of Education paid-it-forward to Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry
Saint Xavier University’s (SXU) School of Education (SOE) is helping to pay-it-forward this holiday season. Instead of buying holiday gifts among colleagues, this year the SOE donated $1,000 on Friday, December 9 to the local Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry located at 11030 S. Longwood Drive. This food pantry helps feed the needy all year long and sadly, demand is always higher during the holiday season.
In attendance at the donation presentation (pictured from left to right): Dejuan Ridley, food pantry volunteer; Dr. Liang Zhao, associate professor; Kathy Peters, parent educator of birth to 3 program; Lori Winkler, assistant parent educator of birth to 3 program; Dr. Maureen Spelman, associate professor and director of student progression; Debbie Strubin, assistant to program chairs and faculty; Lydia O’Grady, secretary of school partnerships; Dr. Suzanne Lee, dean of SOE; Dr. Peter Hilton, associate professor; Lillian Hennings, executive director of the food pantry; Jarret (Eddie) Madlock, food pantry volunteer; Larry Smith, food pantry volunteer; Dee Gray, food pantry volunteer; and Jane Lundin, director of school partnerships.
