SXU's Dr. Meg Carroll provides professional development to local educators
On March 30, Saint Xavier University's (SXU) School of Education (SOE) Professor Meg Carroll, Ed.D., presented to the faculty and visitors of Wright College in Chicago on students with intellectual and developmental disabilities attending college. On March 31, Dr. Carroll presented a workshop in three successive sessions on differentiating instruction, working with School District 159 (Matteson) teachers and paraprofessionals to develop and plan materials for differentiation in instruction and assessment. On May 8, she presented a workshop about sensory needs and techniques for working with students who have sensory needs at Saint Helen Elementary School in Ukrainian Village. On May 18, Dr. Carroll hosted a differentiation "make and take" activity for all teachers at Saint Edward High School in Elgin.
