SXU's Meg Carroll presents at Conference and Area Schools
Saint Xavier University (SXU) School of Education (SOE) Professor Meg Carroll, Ed.D., presented a Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois conference on Saturday, September 17. Her half day workshop was geared for parents and educators and focused on the use of games for learning and motivation. On Friday, October 7, Dr. Carroll presented a workshop on accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities tailored for teachers in both elementary schools in School District 118, with another presentation on the same topic tailored for middle school teachers in SD 118 at Palos South Middle School in Palos Park. On Tuesday, October 11, Dr. Carroll presented a workshop on standards-driven, research-based, culturally responsive differentiated instruction for preK-4 teachers in the Rockford diocese at St. Patrick School in Saint Charles and then presented a related workshop on the same topic for teachers of grades 5 to 8 in the Rockford diocese as well as teachers from Saint Edward High School, hosted at Saint Edward in Elgin.
