Jazzin' at the Shedd with SXU Alumni and Friends

On Wednesday, August 10 at 5 p.m., join Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Office of Alumni and Parent Relations on Chicago's lakefront for jazz, cocktails, fireworks and 32,000 animals! Jazzin' at the Shedd, hosted by the Shedd Aquarium, offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the aquarium's galleries, Abbott Oceanarium, Wild Reef and the newest exhibit, Amphibians, in a fun and funky atmosphere.
Featured musicians for the evening include:
- Brent Kimbrough & Company, offering a fusion of smartly arranged jazz classics, soul-searching originals, groove-laden Chicago blues, funk and high-intensity Latin music;
- UroSouleplays, an infectious and original jazz/soul sound, enriched by vocalist and songwriter Agnieszka Iwanska. Her CD entitled, "All That I Am" hit No. 38 on the Top 50 national chart;
- Bill Boris, guitarist, plays a blend of original tunes and straight-ahead jazz with a vibrant contemporary sound.
Admission for the event is $20 (21+) which includes one drink ticket, music and entry (via the accessible entrance) to the aquarium. Reservations are required for this event.
