SXU's Jacqueline Battalora was featured in Wallet Hub's "2016's Most Diverse Cities in America"
Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Dr. Jacqueline Battalora, professor of sociology, anthropology, and criminal justice, served on an expert panel for Wallet Hub's "2016's Most Diverse Cities in America" article. The article examined America's rapid demographic diversification, specifically focusing on how many local economies use their diverse demographic compositions to their advantage. In order to examine this, Dr. Battalora was asked to provide insight into the advantages and disadvantages of diversity, as well as advice on how to channel different demographic characteristics toward economic growth.
Dr. Battalora is a former Chicago police officer and the author of the 2013 book entitled, "Birth of a White Nation: The Invention of White People and Its Relevance Today." Dr. Battalora holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University and has engaged in anti-racist training since the mid-1990s.
