SXU's Dr. Christopher Appelt presented "Growing and Changing" at Western Avenue Elementary School

On Tuesday, May 17, Dr. Christopher Appelt from the Department of Biological Sciences visited first grade classes at Western Avenue Elementary in Flossmoor, Ill. to discuss "Growing and Changing" as a bookend to their growth and development section that culminated with the hatching of butterflies. The 45-minute presentation included images of young and adult animals and a discussion on how and why they differed from and/or were similar to each other.
