Message from the Director of the Graham School of Management

Welcome to the Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University!

Welcome to the Graham School of Management (GSM) at Saint Xavier University! GSM, part of SXU’s College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Business, strives to develop business leaders with personal, professional and service excellence.

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in any of our nine highly sought-after major fields (Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Human Resource Management, Management, Digital Marketing, Hospitality Management, Professional Sales and Supply Chain Management) in our AACSB-accredited business curriculum will develop human, professional and practical skills that help them obtain meaningful employment. GSM offers programs designed to align with Chicago's service economy that are in high demand in the Chicagoland area and beyond. GSM also offers high-quality undergraduate programs in computer science (B.S.) and computer information systems (B.A.). As a Mercy institution of higher education, we believe that human skills, often referred to as soft or critical skills in business, are essential to creating successful business leaders. We recognize that business leaders need to communicate effectively, problem-solve, collaborate, and value inclusion and diversity. We believe learning the human side of business is just as crucial as developing traditional business acumen.

GSM is dedicated to preparing students to be career-ready. We work with leading employers such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Baker Tilly, Deloitte, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), National Futures Association, Lettuce Entertain You, Northwestern Mutual, Mercer, and more to ensure that our programming is relevant and helps students find employment opportunities.

Despite our relatively small footprint on 103rd Street, I'm confident that you will soon discover the enormous impact the Graham School of Management has in the Chicagoland area. Our small size permits us to be flexible and personal as we work together in helping learners develop into ethical, successful managers and entrepreneurs who contribute to the common good.

Alumni testimonial

"The Graham School of Management curriculum helped me gain the knowledge needed to be successful after graduating. The faculty didn’t just teach by the book; they helped us learn to prepare for challenging situations through their real-life experiences."
“SXU is more than what it seems, full of talented individuals from all different backgrounds. It’s impossible to not fit in somewhere here. SXU has smaller classroom sizes, allowing for students to get personalized attention. Additionally, SXU is close to home, which is perfect for letting me balance work, school, and home life. Thanks to the amazing faculty and alumni, I was able to secure a full-time role after graduation. I couldn’t do this without SXU’s amazing staff and community!”
"The Finance program at SXU and the Graham School of Management provided me with the skills I needed to excel in my career. My courses provided me with the fundamentals of finance, and I gained the skills necessary to be a leader in the field. I enjoyed the smaller class sizes and getting to know my classmates and professors on a more personal level. My hands-on experience with the Student Managed Hedge Fund gave me an opportunity to gain skills in portfolio management so I can help others reach their financial goals."
