The Career Development Center empowers individuals to achieve their professional goals by providing exceptional career guidance, resources, and opportunities that foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals can explore their potential, develop career readiness competencies, and connect with meaningful career opportunities.

We offer group and on-on-one appointments to assist students in these areas.

Career Exploration and Development Workshops

We provide personality/career assessments, career connections, workshops, and career fairs to help students explore career options and professional development.

Resume and Cover Letter Reviews

We offer personalized feedback to craft impactful resumes and cover letters that highlight students' qualifications, skills, and experiences.

Mock Interviews and Career Closet

We conduct mock interviews, provide professional attire through Champ's Career Closet, and guide students on writing professional thank you notes.

Online Presence and Networking

We assist students in creating and optimizing online professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn, Handshake) to showcase skills and expand networks.

Internship and Job Search

We provide tailored support for defining career goals, job search strategies, and access to job boards, internships, and employer connections.

Graduate School Preparation

We help students craft compelling personal statements for graduate school applications.

Our comprehensive career services ensure that your student maximizes their return on investment in college by equipping them with skills, resources, and connections needed to achieve their career goals and succeed in a competitive job market.

  1. Encourage your student to make grades a TOP priority.
  2. Encourage your student to meet with each of their professors regularly.
  3. Talk with your student about the different campus activities that might match their interests.
  4. Encourage your student to plan early to find a summer job that may match their career interests.
  5. Talk to your student about the different career and major choices they are considering.
  6. Talk to your student and come up with a list of your friends or relatives that may work in a field of their interests.
  7. Encourage your student to obtain a career-related internship experience over the summer.
