Communication
Most of us take ordinary communication acts for granted. For some people, these simple acts are extremely difficult, sometimes impossible. According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, more than 40 million American children and adults have communication disorders. If you, your child or someone you know is experiencing difficulty in communicating, it is important to seek professional advice as soon as possible. The Ludden Speech and Language Clinic at Saint Xavier University provides identification, prevention and treatment of a variety of communication disorders by trained clinicians in a supportive, caring environment.
All clinical services are supervised by speech-language pathologists who hold a professional license from the State of Illinois and the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The Ludden Speech and Language Clinic is part of the training program for Saint Xavier University students who are preparing for careers in communication disorders.
