Biography
Katie Szymczak joined the Saint Xavier University staff in 2010 as the assistant director for the Learning Center and Disabilities Services office. Currently, she is a student support specialist in the University's TRIO office. She also teaches the Rebound and Transitions courses and advises the Service Club.
Szymczak takes pride in developing strong relationships with students and colleagues with the clear intention to service her students with service excellence and compassion. Her approach to working with her students is to get to know the whole student and then to support the entire student during their time at SXU. She truly enjoys mentoring and guiding her students towards graduation.
Outside of the office, Szymczak enjoys spending time with her husband, two adult stepchildren and their families and her cats. Additionally, she loves to travel to old and new places, spend time with friends and family, be outdoors, watch crime shows, and snuggle with her kitties.
