Biography

Noor Al-Shrideh is an instructor and clinical supervisor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Division. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders and a master's degree in speech-language pathology, both from Saint Xavier University.

Prior to returning to SXU as a faculty member, Al-Shrideh practiced as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) across various settings and served a diverse range of populations. Her primary experience as a school-based SLP encompassed special education services for preschool through middle school students, mainly for children with moderate-severe disabilities, complex medical needs, and AAC users. She also has experience working as a medical SLP in inpatient rehabilitation and acute care, treating dysphagia and neurogenic communication disorders.

At SXU, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses related to neuroscience and speech sound disorders. She is also a clinical supervisor in the Ludden Speech and Language Clinic, overseeing diagnostic, prevention and therapy experiences.
