Biography
Maria Barbarasa is a board certified family nurse practitioner who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Saint Xavier University and Master of Science in Nursing from University of Illinois at Chicago. As a nurse practitioner, she has experience working with a range of acute and chronic diseases and a large focus on women's health. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Barbarasa worked for five years in acute and emergency care and five years in patient education at a community health center in Chicago. Barbarasa loves seeing patients of all ages and seeks to understand each patient's unique needs. She is passionate about disease prevention, education, and evidence-based care. Barbarasa is fluent in Romanian and Spanish.
