Biography

Regina (Gina) C. McNally is a professor in the Graham School of Management (GSM) at Saint Xavier University. She completed her Ph.D. in business from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. McNally has received multiple accolades, including being chosen to mentor Ph.D. students and junior faculty in the 2022-2023 Journal of Product Innovation Management Reviewer Development Program, being chosen to mentor Ph.D. students in the 2020-2022 Ph.D. Workshops for the Innovation and Product Development Management Conference (IPDMC), serving as a member of the board of directors for the 2014-2023 IPDMC, earning the Certificate of College Teaching and Learning in Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) from Escala Education Services in 2021, receiving the GSM Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019, co-chairing the 2014 IPDMC, and co-supervising the Ph.D. dissertation of Zhan Wang, Ph.D.

Regarding research, her interests are driven by her 14-year experience in industry. She focuses on understanding managerial decision making in the areas of innovation management and inter-organizational relationships. She has published multiple research articles on these subjects, including publications in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Journal of Operations Management, among others. McNally has co-chaired the 2017 Product Development Management Association (PDMA) Research Forum and the 2014 International Product Development Management Conference, and co-edited a special issue of the Journal of Product Innovation Management on the topic of Decisions and Decision-Making in Innovation.

Her teaching interests lie in the areas of strategy and innovation management. She currently teaches business strategy and software for business analytics to undergraduate students. McNally has conducted multiple executive education sessions on the topic of innovation management.
