Biography

Catherine “Katie” Denny has been studying and teaching communication for over 10 years. Denny is currently a communication lecturer at her alma mater, Saint Xavier University, where she holds her bachelor’s degree in communication with concentrations in advertising and public relations, communication studies, and corporate communication. She later obtained a master’s degree in strategic communication and leadership from Northwestern University. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral degree in global educational leadership from DePaul University.

 In the classroom, Denny is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that actively engages students, provides support, and connects lessons to real-world experiences.

Beyond academia, Denny is a passionate advocate for suicide prevention and mental health awareness. In 2015, she rescued her four-legged best friend, Winifred, and they are often seen together.
