Student Success Academy

The Student Success Academy at Saint Xavier University is an eight-day, full-day summer bridge program designed to support incoming first year students as they transition into college-level work. The Academy provides a structured curriculum focused on foundational mathematics, critical thinking, and reading and writing comprehension. Through interactive coursework, personalized academic coaching, and peer engagement, students strengthen essential skills, build confidence, and connect with key campus resources. The program equips participants with the tools they need to begin their SXU journey, prepared for academic success and sustained personal growth. Students who successfully complete the program are exempt from taking Transitions (TS-100) in the fall.

Spring Opportunity for Academic Recovery

SOAR is an academic recovery course designed to assist students placed on academic probation after their first semester at Saint Xavier University. lt is required for first-year students on probation. This course is offered as a non-credit class. ln instances where a student does not pass TS-100, a passing grade in SOAR will be recognized as meeting the Transitions requirement.
