The Pre-Health Certificates have coursework and non-coursework requirements that assume students have already completed the introductory coursework necessary in the Natural Sciences: MATH 111, MATH 112, BIOL 111, BIOL 112, CHEM 111, CHEM 112, CHEM 251, PHYS 201.
The requirements for each certificate include the prerequisite coursework needed for MOST programs in that field. However, each student is responsible for ensuring they are completing the specific admissions requirements for their desired programs. Similarly, completing the certificates cannot guarantee admission into a graduate program. Students are recommended to speak with an advisor or faculty member for guidance.
Matriculated students may transfer up to one course from another institution to be used towards their certificate. Incoming transfer students may bring up to two courses for use towards a certificate, but no subsequent transfer courses will be accepted for a certificate.
The Pre-Physical Therapy/Pre-Occupational Therapy Certificate is suggested for students looking into the physical therapy field.*
