SXU Access Advantage Tuition Program
Saint Xavier University is committed to providing a quality education at an affordable cost. It's one of many reasons why U.S. News & World Report consistently recognizes SXU as a Best Value school among regional universities in the Midwest. As the most affordable Catholic college in Illinois based on net cost of attendance (collegenavigator.org), we strive to ensure that cost is not a barrier to a transformational college education.
To that end, Saint Xavier University is taking affordability and value to the next level. SXU is proud to announce our Access Advantage tuition program, which will begin with incoming freshmen and transfer students in the fall of 2025. Through the Access Advantage program, qualifying students will have their tuition costs covered through a combination of state, federal and institutional aid sources.

Funding and eligibility for the Access Advantage program is dependent on several factors, including:
- Changes in year-to-year funding levels of the State of Illinois MAP Grant and Federal Pell Grant programs.
- Eligibility for state and federal aid; students must file the FAFSA annually.
- Student maintenance of satisfactory academic progress toward their degree program.
- Modest annual tuition increases are possible. Loans are available to defer costs in years two-four, if needed. Federal Work Study is also available. Federal Work Study is a financial aid program that offers students a financial award funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Students can earn this award money by working on campus.
Examples of expenses not covered through this program include course fees, books, room and board, etc.
