B.S. or B.A. in Psychology

A degree in psychology provides the foundation for a variety of career paths. With a degree in psychology, one might expect to find work in such fields as education, sales, marketing, social work, data analysis, administration, and many more. Earning a bachelor's degree in psychology also may position students for further study at the graduate level.

Psychology Major and Minor Requirements

Graduation with a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Psychology requires completing 37 credit hours in the major with a grade of C or better. Transfer students must complete at least five 300-level psychology courses at SXU.

Students planning to minor in psychology must complete, with a grade of C or better, five courses (15 credit hours) in psychology beyond Psychology 101. At least three of the five courses must be from the 300-level and at least three of the five courses must be taken at SXU.
