Chemistry Suggested Four-Year Academic Plan

120 credit hours are required for Bachelor of Science degree. A degree in Chemistry prepares students for roles as professional scientist. Students acquire an understanding of scientific concepts and problem solving techniques, and the ability to integrate and apply these skills in a laboratory setting. Detailed information about Chemistry can be found in the academic catalog. Students should use Academic Planning to schedule courses and track degree progress.

Chemistry Minor: Students must complete 24-25 credit hours including CHEM 111, 112, CHEM 251, CHEM 252 and one upper level Chemistry course. Please review the list of approved courses in the academic catalog. At least nine credit hours of the Chemistry courses above the 100 level must be completed at SXU in order to fulfill the minor requirement.
