Students who are enrolled in Saint Xavier University's chemistry program have access to various facilities, both on campus and off campus, that will help them engage in the science and learn from a hands-on experience.

Instruments and Computers

Students use modern instrumentation in chemistry and physics classes as well as in independent research projects. Computers are used in data collection and analysis and also for modeling and Web assignments. Department computers include Windows, Macintosh and Linux platforms. In addition, the University has several student computer laboratories and many campus areas set up for wireless Internet connections.

Chicago Area Associated Colleges

Saint Xavier University is a member of the Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area (ACCA) that offers students access to additional courses and research opportunities. Special topic seminars are offered every fall for the students of SXU and liberal arts colleges in the Chicago area.
