Natural History of the Vertebrates: Field Experience
Lead by three faculty members, the Biological Sciences Department offered students a new, total-immersion field course. Students spent five days in early June at the Reis Biology Field Station located in the foothills of the Ozarks, where they were able to learn about natural history amongst nature itself.
The curriculum included canoeing, bird watching, nature hikes, a visit to Onondaga cave, animal collecting and identification and many other events that exposed students to the abundant wildlife of the Ozarks region.
