Presidential Search Progress Reports

 
  • Monday, August 21, 2023: Announcement to community and Presidential Search Survey. 
  • Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30, 2023: Pre-Search On-Campus Visit with Academic Search and university stakeholders, including Faculty, Staff, Administration, and Student representatives. Open drop-in sessions were also held on both days to invite wide participation in the process.
  • Wednesday, August 30, 2023: Initial meeting of Academic Search and the Presidential Search Committee. The meeting included the Search Committee and Academic Search introductions, a review of the charge of the Search Committee, and a discussion of the priorities and desired characteristics of the next president.
  • Friday, September 15, 2023: SXU Board of Trustees met with Academic Search to review and approve the Presidential Search position profile.
  • Wednesday, September 20, 2023: The Presidential Search position profile is posted and the position advertisements go live! Interim President Sherrick shares an email update with the community alerting them that the position profile is now published.
  • Friday, November 10, 2023: The Presidential Search Committee meets to review initial slate of candidates.
  • Wednesday, November 15, 2023: Email update to the community from Presidential Search Committee Chair, Mr. Chuck Newman.
  • Tuesday, December 12, 2023: Email update to the community from Presidential Search Committee Chair, Mr. Chuck Newman.
  • Thursday, January 25, 2024: Email to the community from Board Chair Henderson announcing SXU's 21st President.
