Spring Break Service Trips
Spring break service trips offer students the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones and see the world from a different perspective. Groups of students travel with staff and student leaders to various sites across the country to spend a week living simply in community, providing daily service to those in need, and reflecting on the causes of poverty and the deeper meaning of Christian service.
Service Sites have included:
- Mercy Center, St. Louis, Missouri
- Nazareth Farm, Salem, West Virginia
- Glenmary Farm, Vanceburg, Kentucky
- Mercy Volunteer Corps, Savannah, Georgia
- Christian Appalachian Project, Lexington, Kentucky
- Brother David Darst Center, Chicago, Illinois
- Baltimore, Maryland (Mercy Volunteer Corps, Savannah, Georgia)
- Joplin (Mercy Center, St. Louis, Missouri)
IMPORTANT DATES:
- October
Applications available at Mercy Ministry Center - November
Applications and $50 non-refundable deposit due - November through February
Mandatory orientation sessions and fund raising - January
Remainder of payment due
