The Dr. Lloyd Leake Scholarship is open to undergraduate African-American students in the Education Department (formerly known as the School of Education). This scholarship is funded by the family of the late Dr. Lloyd Leake, former dean of the School of Education.
The scholarship is a grant applied towards tuition in the following academic year.
Exact amount of tuition grants depends on available funds from endowments and individual student's account status. Please check with Financial Aid before applying.
- Applicants must complete the online application form below. The form will ask for:
- an essay which includes a statement of your educational goals and a list of significant goal-related activities, honors, volunteer service and employment
- two letters of recommendation
- Please request that two persons write letters of recommendation on your behalf. Letters of recommendation should be sent by the writers directly to Dr. Meg Carroll at email@example.com by 5 p.m. on February 23, 2018.
