SXU Percussion Ensemble performs Nov. 28
Fall concert features favorites
Chicago (Nov. 10, 2006) – Saint Xavier University’s Percussion Ensemble will perform a fall concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, in McGuire Hall, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.
Under the direction of Erik Janners, D.M.A., director of bands and professor of percussion at Saint Xavier University, the Percussion Ensemble provides a place for percussion students and non-percussionists who are interested in learning more about percussion, to meet and work together to make music.
The program will include favorites such as Six Pieces for Percussion by William L. Cahn, Tiger Rag arranged for percussion ensembles by Dennis DiBlasio, and Little Suite by Kenneth Krause.
The concert is open to the public. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for seniors and visiting students. Admission is free for all SXU students, faculty and staff with a valid University ID. For more information, please contact the Saint Xavier University music department at (773) 298-3421.
