Saint Xavier University holds Open House on Oct. 15
Prospective students invited to attend
Chicago (Sept. 20, 2006) – Prospective students and their families are invited to attend Saint Xavier University’s Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, in the Shannon Center, located on the Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St.
“The Fall Open House is an excellent opportunity for students and families to learn about all the opportunities Saint Xavier has to offer, meet current students and faculty and tour the beautiful Chicago campus,” said Beth Gierach, assistant provost for enrollment services at Saint Xavier University.
Saint Xavier invites and encourages all freshmen and their parents as well as transfer, adult and graduate students who are interested in pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at the University to attend the open house.
Prospective students, their families and guests will be able to meet with faculty and staff, enjoy refreshments and take campus tours. Faculty from all academic programs, staff from admission, financial aid and campus life, as well as representatives from athletics and student organizations will be present to discuss opportunities at Saint Xavier. Student ambassadors will be available to talk to prospective students and direct campus tours.
Prospective students can really get a good ‘feel’ for the academic and campus environment,” Gierach said.
Graduate student sessions will be held in the Warde Academic Center at the following times and locations:
• Counseling, noon, L-215
• Education, noon, L-217
• Nursing, 1 p.m., L-211
• Speech Pathology, 1 p.m., L-213
Business and computer science sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Shannon Center.
