Saint Xavier University presents University Orchestra concert
Jazz Band set to perform on Nov. 14 at the Beverly Arts Center
Chicago (Oct. 27, 2005) – Saint Xavier’s University Orchestra will present its fall concert on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 3:30 p.m. in the Rehearsal/Performance Space of the Warde Academic Center, 3700 W. 103rd St.
The University Orchestra will perform several classic pieces under the direction of Martha Morris and student conductor Alexis Janners, including Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 7” and “Military Marches”, Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” and Britten’s “Simple Symphony for Strings.”
The orchestra is currently in its 23rd season and is composed of Saint Xavier students and members of the university community.
Admission to the concert is $6 for the general public, $5 for seniors and visiting students. For Saint Xavier students, faculty and staff, admission is free with a valid university ID.
