Saint Xavier to show 'Writers of the Borders' for Arab Heritage Month
WHAT:Saint Xavier’s Center for International Studies, the Department of Anthropology and Sociology and the Middle Eastern Studies program will present “Writers of the Borders,” a documentary that tells the story of eight writers and poets from the International Parliament of Writers who visit the renowned poet, Mahmoud Darwish in Palestine. This special engagement is part of Arab Heritage Month activities at Saint Xavier.
A question-and-answer session with University of Chicago professor Rena Barakat will follow the film with a reception at the program’s conclusion.
