Saint Xavier Hosts First-Ever Rock The Quad Fest
Schmitt Quad is the place to be Friday, April 30 for music, entertainment and eats
CHICAGO (April 28, 2004) - The Student Activities Board at Saint Xavier University has announced the lineup for the first-ever Rock the Quad music festival, to be held noon to 10 p.m. Friday, April 30 in Schmitt Quad on the Chicago Campus, 3700 W. 103 rd St.
Rock the Quad will feature music from all genres on two stages. As visitors soak up sun and some live music, they can sample a range of dishes from noon to 2 p.m. at one of the Taste of SXU ten vendor food booths, to be set up on the perimeter of Schmitt Quad.
The schedule for Rock the Quad is:
Noon-2:00 p.m. CRUSH plays Dave Matthews Band favorites for this tribute act.
2:30 to 3 p.m. Hear from the winner of SXU Idol, LINDSAY SULLIVAN .
3 to 4 p.m. Local sensations and WXAV favorites TRIPTYCH rock out.
4 to 6 p.m. 4-CAST plays famous hits from the '70s, '80s and '90s.
6 to 7 p.m. Our DJ spins the newest songs while talented SXU dancers perform.
7 to 7:30 p.m. ADD (AKA. THE LUV BOATS) debut their eclectic sound, as SXU Athletes rock-out.
7:30 to 8 p.m. SXU's own JOHNNY and COAX play an array of classic hits
8 to 10:00 p.m. AMERICAN ENGLISH - the United States' version of perhaps the greatest rock band ever - play all of your favorite Beatles hits.
