COD Psychology Transfer Guide

This transfer guide can assist psychology students with their transition to Saint Xavier University. Please refer to the general education requirements for an A.A. or A.S. degree found in the College of DuPage (COD) Academic Catalog.

If students complete the majority of their general education requirements prior to transferring to SXU, they may qualify for the IAI GECC Articulation Agreement with the exception of Philosophy 150: The Examined Life and a religious studiescourse.

B.S. degree requires the completion of the general education program, 37 credit hours, to fulfill the psychology degree and 6 additional credit hours from the following disciplines: math, computer science, life science, physical science or a combination of these.

Overall, the B.S. in psychology major requires 24 credit hours of science-related courses. Graduation with a B.A. or B.S. in psychology requires a grade of C or better in every course required for the major.
