The Lincoln Academy of Illinois Student Laureate Award

The award is granted every year to an outstanding senior from each four-year, degree-granting institution of higher learning in Illinois. The Lincoln Academy’s Student Laureate Awards are presented for excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities. Laureate nominations are submitted by each school and reviewed by the Lincoln Academy. Student Laureate Medallions are presented annually in late October or early November at an award ceremony in the Hall of Representatives of the Old State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois. Saint Xavier’s Student Laureate is also honored at the annual University Awards day in April.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to submit nominations of senior students to receive the Lincoln Award. Students may self-nominate. Nomination forms will be available the first week of September in the Office for Student Affairs (Warde Academic Center, L-208) and will be due mid-September. Information about the nomination process will also be posted on Saint Xavier Today.
