Art and Design Scholarships
The Department of Art and Design at Saint Xavier University has a tradition of developing students that are visually literate, culturally aware and interested in a life of creative collaboration. Students majoring or minoring in art and design are an important part of the SXU community. Their ability to bring an understanding of visual language and creative problem solving to their other classes, clubs and interactions enhance the University in a wide variety of ways.
We are interested in retaining and rewarding students who want to create, communicate and collaborate while studying the underlying history, theory and craft of the art and design disciplines.
Portfolio scholarships are available to incoming freshmen and new transfer students who are majoring or minoring in art and design. Several merit-based scholarship awards will be offered through a portfolio review application process. Scholarship may be renewable.
Deadline for Portfolio submissions: February 19, 2014

Keene, this scholarship will be awarded on a rotating basis to a student enrolled in the Saint Xavier University Department of Art and Design or Music. In the Department of Art and Design, the Keene Scholarship will be awarded to an entering freshman who should have an overall high school GPA of 2.5 in a 4.0 system or a transfer student with no more than 20 hours of transfer credit and who has declared Art and Design as a major.
