1. What do I do for fun?
I love to cook and bake. My favorite recipe is my grandma's homemade bread! I also like to run all year long, volunteer, read and see live music.
2. What is the area of SXU like?
Saint Xavier is in a great location and has a beautiful campus at any time of year. It is in the heart of some great communities with lots of families and schools. It is in the city of Chicago, but it is situated in a suburban area. Only 30 minutes from downtown Chicago -- by train or car -- SXU has the best of both worlds.
3. What are your favorite things to do in Chicago?
Chicago has so many fun neighborhood festivals during the summer, so you can explore Chicago and the surrounding area. I love trying new restaurants, especially during the summer when you can sit out on a patio. Chicago is the best sports town, and one of my favorite things to do is catch a Bulls or a Cubs game.
4. What is your advice for a student interested in transferring to SXU?
I recommend that students schedule a campus visit and tour. The best way to know if SXU is the right fit is to see our beautiful campus and meet with staff and students. Stay in contact with your admission counselor to ensure you are taking all the right steps to a great start at Saint Xavier.
5. What makes SXU different from other universities?
At Saint Xavier you are welcomed into a University committed not just to academic excellence, but to service and compassion towards others. It is the commitment to these shared values that makes SXU a welcoming and positive environment to work and learn. Students find a real sense of family and support when they come to Saint Xavier University.
6. What is your favorite season in Chicago? Why?
I love the fall because the colors are so vibrant and beautiful in the Midwest. It's the perfect weather for a long walk or run, or to catch a football game -- Go Cougars!
