Alberta Gatti, Ph.D.
Alberta Gatti has been a faculty member in the Department of English and Foreign Languages for 13 years, serving as the foreign languages program director.
She received her master's in classical languages and literatures from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and a Ph.D. in hispanic language and literatures from Boston University. Her research work is on Spanish literature of the Golden Age with a second field in second language acquisition.
She has taught courses in Spanish literature and Spanish and Italian languages. She is interested in uses of technology in the language classroom. She introduced computer mediated communication in intermediate-level language instruction and recently leaded an Internet mediate project with the University of Sureste (URSE) in Oaxaca, Mexico.
