Speech-Language Pathology Student Teaching

Students in the master of science program in speech-language pathology are required to apply for student teaching one year before they plan to complete the course CSDIG 512. For students who will student teach in fall 2012, the application deadline is September 15, 2011. For those planning to student teach in spring 2013, the deadline is January 15, 2012.

Student teaching is for a period of 10 weeks, full-time, with a minimum of 100 clinical hours. Placements will be made with the assistance of the external practicum coordinator.

The certification officer in the School of Education approves the Illinois State Board of Education applications for the Type 73 school service personnel certificate once all certification requirements are completed.
