Project Manager for Accreditation, Assessment and Development
Jorge Arévalo joined the School of Education at Saint Xavier University in 2008. He is the project manager for Accreditation, Assessment and Development for the School of Education. He oversees the Unit Assessment System and accreditation and reporting efforts through data collection and continuous program improvements. In addition, he provides instructional assistance to both students and faculty in the use of LiveText, our electronic portfolio and assessment system.
Jorge holds a Bachelor of Science in information systems engineering from the University of El Salvador (2005), an MBA from Southern Illinois University (2007) and Project Management certificate from Saint Xavier University (2009).

Director of School Partnerships
Jane has been a member of Saint Xavier University faculty/staff since August 2007. Prior to joining Saint Xavier University, she served as an administrator, teacher and curriculum facilitator in Orland School District 135. As director of school partnerships, Jane ensures that effective partnerships and high-quality clinical practice are central to School of Education teacher preparation programs so that candidates develop the knowledge, skills and professional dispositions necessary to demonstrate positive impact on all P-12 students' learning and development.
Jane has a Master of Science in Education from National Louis University (1980) and Education Administration Certification (Type 75) from Saint Xavier University (1994).

Assistant to Program Chairs and Faculty
Since joining the School of Education in 2011, Joan has worked with students facilitating the education of graduate students in the School of Education for the Administration and Leadership, Counseling, Early Childhood, Educational Technology/iSTEM, Reading, and Teaching and Leadership programs. Once a graduate student is admitted to one of the above-referenced graduate programs, she completes the admission process and appropriate coding for financial and academic data processing. She also assists the program chairs in overseeing the progression of graduate students through the master's degree requirements. Joan also supports faculty with offices in Driehaus East, manages the Stem and 3919 Classrooms schedule and materials and assists in maintaining the graduate student database for the School of Education.
Joan has a Bachelor of Arts from Roosevelt University and has completed graduate coursework in instructional design and technology from Western Illinois University.

Secretary of School Partnerships
Lydia joined Saint Xavier University as a part-time secretary in the School of Education in 2006. She enjoys her current full-time position of School of Education secretary of School Partnerships, working with CPS and area schools to secure field experience placements for teacher candidates and student teachers.

Assistant to the Director for Student Progression
Debbie started with the School of Education in July 2004 as a secretary for the Counseling Program. In May 2011, she started a new position as the assistant to the associate dean, program chairs and faculty. Debbie enjoys interacting with students, so she is looking forward to her new position as assistant to the director of student progression, which will involve guiding and supporting School of Education undergraduate and graduate students throughout their programs. Other responsibilities include maintaining current student and alumni records, assisting with tracking conditional and probationary status candidates and assisting with graduation audits.

Assistant to the Dean, Program Chairs and Faculty
After five years away from school, Mitch came to Saint Xavier University in 2014 to finish his bachelor's degree. While a SXU student, Mitch played basketball and football and was named the 2015-2016 recipient of the SXU Male Student-Athlete of the Year Award. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, Mitch worked for the School of Education as a graduate assistant before taking on his new role as assistant to the dean, program chairs and faculty. He has a wide array of experience, ranging from work in credit unions to being a lead residential assistant to being a multiple-line representative for State Farm. His responsibilities include overseeing graduate assistants, maintaining organization of the CPS Grant, helping with SOE undergraduate and graduate classes and facilitating completion of projects in the Warde Academic Center and in the Driehaus Center.
Mitch holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saint Xavier University and is currently pursuing his MBA.

A former employee in Graduate Admissions, Reneé returned to Saint Xavier University in August 2016 as the licensure officer in the School of Education. She currently serves as the liaison between the University and ISBE, the entitlement officer, candidate transcript evaluator and point of contact for compliance with state licensure requirements. Her goal for our candidates is to ensure a smooth transition from student to professional educator by supporting them throughout the licensure process.
Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts from Millikin University, a master's degree in human resources and educational administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and is currently pursuing her doctorate in higher education administration and ethical leadership.
