Cohort Programs in the School of Education
The focus of the cohort programs is cohesiveness and continuity. Your group will be pursuing professional goals by engaging in a set sequence of courses, beginning and ending the sequence together, which enhances communication and the quality of learning from one course to another. With its emphasis on cooperative groups, individual learning and project-based learning, the cohort format draws on like-minded professionals' common work experiences and interests. As your group proceeds through the sequence, you will build on shared academic experiences, leading to a rewarding educational experience.
Additional features and benefits of a graduate cohort program include:
- reduced tuition for all graduate programs in the School of Education;
- guaranteed course offering;
- classes meet one night per week for eight sessions for the duration of the program (two nights during the summer sessions); and
- flexible payment plan available.
