Women and Gender Studies
The Women and Gender Studies program at Saint Xavier University offers a multidisciplinary perspective on the diverse experiences and contributions of women, as well as on issues related to gender. This program, by integrating the study of women and gender into the curriculum, will introduce students to new fields of research and scholarship.
Students may earn a minor in Women and Gender Studies by completing 18 credit-hours (6 courses) of women and gender studies courses. Courses focus upon cultural identities, social roles, collective history and literary and artistic traditions. Please view the Program Description and Course Descriptions for more information.
The Women and Gender Studies program involves an interdisciplinary course of study, and as such the faculty who teach courses for the minor are drawn from many academic departments and schools within the University.
