Sister Isidore Perrigo, R.S.M. Service Award

The Sister Isidore Perrigo, R.S.M. Service Award recognizes a staff member who has provided outstanding service to the Saint Xavier University community. The award will be presented on Mission Day, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Board Room.

About the Award

Though she never saw it, Sister Isidore Perrigo, R.S.M., played a key role in Saint Xavier’s acquisition of its current Chicago campus. From 1919 until 1939, she ran Saint Xavier Academy's "candy department" and was known for her kindness to her young customers. Years later, that kindness reaped unexpected rewards when the brother of a student whom Sister Isidore had befriended became the key broker in securing the 103rd Street property that is now Saint Xavier University’s Chicago campus.
