Incident: Off Campus – Armed Robbery / Weapon Displayed

Date: Thursday, August 21, 2014 at approximately 2:55 p.m.

Location: on Street 9821 S. Pulaski Evergreen Park, IL

Details: On this date and time Evergreen Park Police reported two suspects displaying a weapon attempted to rob a pizza driver. The pizza driver dropped his pizza and ran from the area. Both suspects also fled the area. It is unknown at this time if anything of value was taken. The suspects did not flee toward campus, extra police patrols were placed in the area by SXU, Chicago, and Evergreen Park Police.

Suspect: 
#1 – M/B, 17-18 years of age, 5’8, 150lbs, black hoodie, and odd shaped mouth
#2- M/B, 17-18 years of age, 5’8, 150lbs, red hoodie.

Incident: Off Campus – Battery

Date: Sunday, June 15, 2014 at approximately 9:35 p.m.

Location: 10200 Block of Central near Church, Evergreen Park, Ill.

Details: At 9:35 p.m. there was a report of a jogger who was grabbed by the below suspect. The jogger broke free and the suspect fled northbound on Central Park and eastbound on 102nd street. SXU, Chicago and Evergreen Park Police responded to the area. No suspect was located. Evergreen Park Police are conducting the follow up investigation.

Suspect: Male, Hispanic, approximately 5'4, wearing dark jeans, hoodie and white t-shirt.

Incident: On/Off Campus Locations – Sex Offender Information

Date: Monday, February 17, 2014, at approximately 11 a.m. 

Location: 10500 Block of Sawyer Ave. Chicago, Ill. 60655

Michael McKenna

Details: An informational report was made to Chicago police by an off-duty Chicago police officer that the below registered sex offender was observed driving in the area and also taking photos. No crime took place and there are no pending criminal charges.

Suspect: Michael C. McKenna M/W/6’05, 220 lbs, last known address 3353 N. Greenview Ave Apt. 1R Chicago, Ill. 60657, driving White 2004 Suzuki Sports Utility Illinois Plate 9846267.

Incident: Off Campus – Armed Robbery / Weapon Displayed

Date: Thursday, December 5, 2013 at approximately Midnight.

Location: On street 9400 block of Millard Ave Evergreen Park, Ill.

Details: At 12:16 a.m. there was an Armed Robbery in the 9400 block of Millard. The victim is an SXU employee who was walking home from work. The victim was not hurt but the offenders took his book bag, wallet, cell phone and a can of chew. The offenders ran northbound from the area. A perimeter was set up in the immediate area with Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn, Hometown and Saint Xavier Police which produced negative results. There was no vehicle description. The Evergreen Park Police Report is 13-6266.

Suspect: Two male African-Americans, ages 20 to 24. The first described as about 6 feet and weighing about 180 pounds dressed all in black. The second offender described as 5 feet 8 inches, 160 pounds, with a goatee, wearing a black hat and black coat. The shorter offender produced a gun (possible automatic) during the robbery.

Incident: Sex Offense – (Peeping Tom with Cellular Device)

Date: Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Location: SXU Library (Copy area)

Details: Student reported while using the copier in the Library, she noticed suspicious activity by an unknown male that she has seen numerous times in the library. Victim reported that the offender allegedly took a picture from behind underneath her dress using a cellular phone with a flash camera. The incident happened at 7:15 p.m. and offender is described as M/B, bald head, dark complexion, approximately 5'7 tall, weighing approx. 160 lbs and possibly 25 YOA. The offender was wearing a bright orange T-shirt and blue jeans.

Incident: Off Campus -- Armed Robbery

Date: Saturday September 28, 2013, at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Location: 7-11 Store, 103rd and Sawyer Ave (down the street from VAC)

Details: The clerk at the 7-11 store at 103rd and Sawyer was a victim of a robbery and one shot was fired by the offender. The Incident happened at 11:30 p.m. and offender is described as M/B possibly 18-20 YOA wearing light grey hoody with red ball cap underneath, tan cargo pants and black gym shoes with white border all the way around bottom of shoes. Offender pulled a black mask over his face as he entered the store and told the clerk to open the drawer. The clerk offered no resistance and gave the offender an undisclosed amount of USC, lottery tickets and a bag to put proceeds into. During the incident the offender fired one .45 round at the clerk nearly striking him in lower torso/legs before fleeing on foot west from the store. Chicago police are investigating the case.

Incident: Off Campus -- Armed Robbery

Date: Tuesday, May 07, 2013, at approximately 9:40 p.m.

Reported: May 7, 2013

Location: Approximately 3901 West 99th Street

Details: Two Saint Xavier University students reported that while walking from a nearby restaurant traveling east bound on 99th street to Campus, two suspects approached them from the back; suspect #1 displayed a blue steel hand gun and demanded property from the students. The suspects, after taking personal property, including a purse and wallet, fled on foot west bound on 99th street. The students were able to safely return to campus and report the crime to Chicago and Saint Xavier Police Departments.

Suspect: The suspects are described as two black males, medium complexion, 16-20 years of age, approximately 5’ 09” - 5’ 11” tall, weighing approximately 140-170 pounds. Suspect #1 was wearing a blue hoodie and denim jeans. Suspect #2 was wearing a gray hoodie.
